Glasgow is the newest addition to the Bill's Restaurant family and their first venture North of the Border. I'd heard good things about the London restaurant and was keen to try it out for myself. So, off I toddled with my mum on its opening day last week to see what all the fuss was about.
The West Nile Street venue is the perfect spot for a quick bite to eat whilst shopping in the City Centre. We were shown to a seat by the window of the bright and airy restaurant and given a couple of menu's to pour over, including the lunch time special menu and the main menu.
After much deliberation, I decided to go for the prawn and crab cakes (£5.85) and my mum went for the red onion tart (£5.50). The prawn and crab cakes were delicious and chunky and were served with a tangy mango salad. My mum also had no complaints about her starter so both plates were duly cleared.
It's open from 8am and the breakfast menu looks amazing. I'm quite partial to a breakfast meeting so I'll definitley be back soon to try the pancakes.
