I've been meaning to invest in some new make up brushes for ages and my friend/fabulous make up artist Lynsey C Reilly (check out her Facebook page here ) always raves about how good the Real Techniques brushes are.
I also spend a ridiculous amount of time watching make up tutorials on YouTube and always see Real Techniques brushes popping up time and time again.
I've always been a Mac girl when it comes to brushes and, to be honest, the price of the Real Techniques brushes always put me off because they seemed too cheap to be as good as Mac.
My sister Louise helpfully pointed out that Superdrug were currently running a 3 for 2 promotion on Real Techniques brushes so I decided that it was as good a time as any to grab a bargain.
I asked Lynsey for her expert advice about which brushes she recommended and her exact words were, "I love the purple and orange handled ones". Not quite the technical/specific answer I was expecting but I guess that means that she loves them all!
I decided to go for the stippling brush, expert brush and blush brush and they arrived this morning. It cost me about £20 for all three - really great value for money.
I've also been watching loads of the videos on the Real Techniques website (link here) where the make up artist creators of the brushes, Sam and Nic Chapman. They show you the best way to get the most from your brushes.
